Airshow Part 2

  

After taking pictures of high speed jets in Houston yesterday it seemed only natural to take a picture of these wonders of the sky while at Marge's house in Galveston.  They too fly in precise formation.

Fishing in the Bayou

     

The bayou behind Marge's house in Galveston is full of wildlife. I was able to catch this egret as it was searching for its morning breakfast... just after finishing my morning breakfast on Marge's deck.

Precision

  

There were six blue angel jets at the air show.  Numbers 1-4 are shown here in a high speed flyby.

  

The Navy's Blue Angels

  

The Blue Angels in their diamond formation.  Watching the show in the Eagle Squadron section at Ellington Field in Houston made for a memorable day.  Thanks Marge!

Wings Over Houston

  

A still picture does not capture the acrobatic path of Gene Soucy and his upside down wingwalker Teresa Stokes at the Wings Over Houston Airshow.  However, the incredibly blue Texas sky helps highlight the colorful biplane.

Later Dinner

  

We were taking a trip on the waters of Galveston Bay when this fella came out of a fish house with the catch of the day.  Later, dinner at a restaurant on the strand had to be red snapper...fresh!

     

Missing M

  

Galveston's signature tall ship, and the official tall ship of Texas, is the 1877 Elissa.  The dinghy beside the tall ship seemed to be missing an "M" in my mind.
